Our second Spring/Summer outerwear installment showcases a mix of past seasons staples as well as a new style that highlights our appreciation of casual sportswear classics with an added touch.
New this season is the Plaid Breaker Jacket. This style features a custom woven seersucker in a Dark Navy, Azure and (even darker) Dark Navy plaid pitch. The face of the fabric is finished with a waterproof coating, giving this seemingly laid back style a bit of a technical edge to it.
The front of the Breaker features a pocket at left chest, covered and hidden by a placket, that offers the option to stow and pack the jacket into the pocket itself. Two pig nose cord stoppers located on the neck and are also hidden into each cord tunnel, which maintains the slick understated look of the garment. A Tonal Dark Navy YKK Coil zipper finishes off the front of this style.
We lined the Plaid Breaker with a soft touch mesh that allows for airing out in warmer rain showers. A rear ventilation placket on the back of the jacket helps to add more comfort and breathability.
Next up is our classic UC Jacket, featured in seasonal Grape, Stone and Dark Navy colorways. This ¾ zip style is taken from sports silhouettes that we all grew up wearing- whether it be to and from a game or watching and rooting from the stands. We introduced this style for SS19 and have kept improving upon and re-introducing it due to it’s versatility during the transitioning spring/summer months.
The UC Jacket is made out of a durable nylon taslan and lined with matching interior tonal mesh. Featuring three YKK reverse coil zippers with thick molded pull tabs at the center front and side pockets, this style is weather tested and easy to throw on and off in all conditions.
This jacket also includes a vented placket that allows for sweat and perspiration to escape during wear. The interior collar is lined with a soft jersey that provides comfort while fully zipped. The UC’s slightly boxy fit allows for ease of movement if you’re wearing it over another layer or two, which is how a lot of the Adsum team tends to wear it.
